Erin Adams

Hometown: Orlando, Florida

I moved to Maui in 2013 and did my 200-hr teacher training with Trish Bianco at Mangala Yoga. I was apart of the Mangala Yoga team for 5 years before I decided that I needed a break from teaching. I am a massage therapist and have been focusing on that for the past couple of years and I am excited to be guiding classes again at Blue Mango Yoga. I teach power vinyasa and I love moving with the breathe and helping my students build strength.

Who/what influences your teaching and practice currently?

I went to school for massage therapy before I did my yoga teacher training. One of the reasons I wanted to do a yoga training was because I naturally found myself assigning stretches for my clients to do at home. I find that when I have good balance of receiving massage and practicing yoga regularly, I feel great in my own body, which motivates me to share that with others.

How do you apply yoga practice to your every day life?

My “yoga” looks different from day to day. I try to be conscious of what I put in my body and how I treat myself and others. Some days my yoga practice is simply taking a few minutes to focus on my breath.

What is a fun fact about you?

My 12th birthday party was a parrot head party. All my girlfriends were listening to Brittany spears while I only wanted to listen to Jimmy Buffett.

What can students expect from your class?

Vinyasa action. All day.

All levels are welcome.
